Frank’s Casing Crew & Rental Tools has long had the reputation of a company with pioneering vision as well as a tradition of superior customer service. Established in 1938 by Frank Mosing as a one-crew casing company operated by he and his wife out of their garage, the company now employs over 2,000 people in Acadiana and throughout the United States. The company remains family owned with the fourth generation of the family now beginning to enter the workforce at Frank’s. One thing remains the same, Frank Mosing’s pioneering vision and spirit continue today under the capable leadership of Donald Mosing, Frank’s son. Donald gives credit to the employees of Frank’s Casing for the enormous progress made under his guidance.
An often overlooked service is one of the most notable services Frank’s offers it customers – its ability to design and manufacture custom/specialty equipment. When Frank’s opened its manufacturing department in the mid-1970’s, each piece of equipment was designed, engineered and manufactured with precision to be durable and dependable. Frank’s has expanded into international operations through a separate company, Frank’s International which is run by Donald’s son, Keith Mosing and is headquartered in Houston, Texas, with bases in over 50 countries. While each is a separate and independent company, the two organizations cooperate on all levels to meet the challenges of the worldwide oil industry. Lafayette hosts the LAGCOE tradeshow -- the 2nd largest Oil & Gas show in the United States this October 23-25 at the Cajundome and Convention Center. The tradeshow is vital to the community with last attendance figures at 16,000 attendees. LAGCOE has been "powering progress for 50 years” and Frank’s has been an exhibitor since then. Recognizing the importance of showcasing the energy industry in Acadiana, as well as at the tradeshow, Frank’s later became a proud sponsor of LAGCOE. In 1997, LAGCOE honored Donald Mosing as the LAGCOE Looey with the symbolic "gold hard hat” for his contributions in the oil and gas industry.
