Project Coordinator
BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY
Be able to coordinate from a logistical and planning standpoint multiple vendors, equipment and resources, interact with client, to maintain overall project schedule. Maintain an eye on costs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Bidding:
1. Detailed review of customer supplied RFQ package and generate a scope of work document.
2. Distribution of the scope of work document to various parties within Frank's -project management team, technical, production, QA, Safety, legal, and bring together each group's feedback to incorporate in bid response.
3. Generation of RFQ’s to solicit pricing from subcontractors for consumables, equipment and technical services.
4. Review of subcontractor bid proposals from multiple subcontractors, perform pricing comparisons, review of technical and other exceptions, schedule etc.
5. Generate pricing spreadsheet with a clearly defined scope of work based on items, 2, 3 and 4 above.
6. Ability to prioritize and list all exceptions (technical, schedule, legal, etc.) in bid response document.
7. Generate project schedule with consideration of lead times for necessary equipment, consumables, qualifications and fabrication schedule.
8. Assist Project Manager with assimilation and submission of bid package to customer.
Project Coordination/Execution:
1. Generation and distribution of project scope of work to various parties within Frank's, once a contract is awarded.
2. Review of subcontractor's quotation to look for ways to cut costs prior to issuance of a purchase order.
3. Generation of purchase orders to subcontractors, equipment suppliers, consumable suppliers.
4. Assist Project Manager with day to day interaction with customer, internal project group and subcontractors for updates on schedule, changes to scope of supply etc.
5. Assistance in generation of project documents.
6. Constant monitoring of project schedule vs. forecasted schedule.
7. Generation of production updates and day to day interaction with Frank’s facility manager, quality assurance and production personnel
8. Identify and define variations to scope of work.
9. Generation of as built project documentation.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
1. Two (2) year college degree (Industrial Engineering or technical) and a minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar field
2. Experience with MS project, Excel, Access and Word
3. Good technical writing and communication skills
4. Experience in project cost analysis
5. Familiarity with general fabrication and welding processes
6. Requires knowledge of fabrication in general, planning, and programs such as Microsoft project, advanced knowledge of Excel, etc.
