The Data-Trek AdvantageTM Computer System offers unprecedented technology in connection analyzed makeup services. Frank’s manufactures it’s own proprietary software to manage system output and control the power tong, which gives the Frank’s system several important advantages:

Certification
The Data-Trek AdvantageTM is certified for use in Zone I hazardous areas worldwide. Every Data-Trek Advantagetm H.E. system meets Cenelec Standard EN50014 & EN50016, and is certified by P.T.B. In the United States, the Data-Trek Advantagetm system meets all requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard and MMS.
Data-Trek Advantage Features:
Data Recall: The Data-Trek AdvantageTM system allows instant recall of ALL collected data, on the rig or after the job.
Magnification: Original make up data is redrawn at much higher resolutions to allow pinpoint detection of parameters including shoulder torque, turns after shoulder and the amount of torque actually applied to the shoulder.
Calibration: Load cells and calibration procedures are traceable to National Bureau of Standards.
Load Cells: A wide range of special application load cells for unique customer requirements are available. Compression, tension and special dual-action load cells for the Zero Side LoadTM Intregral backup are available, The Data-Trek Advantage TM system can handle torque capacities from just a few hundred Ft- Lbs to over 200,000 Ft-Lbs.
Statistical Analysis: Statistical information for each make-up is permanently stored for immediate or post-job recall. Each make-up is automatically compiled for use in statistical comparisons. Data is available in both graphical and digital format.
Pipe Tally: The Data-Trek AdvantageTM system provides additional customer support by tracking the amount of pipe run on a per joint basis. Total footage run is displayed as pipe is added to or removed from the well.
Tong Speed Monitor: Tong RPM is monitored in real time and recorded for each make-up. RPM data is displayed in RPM vs Turns graph that easily correlates to the make-up graph.
