Pipe End Sensor

The Pipe End Sensor (PES) is designed to aid the elevator operator in proper setting of the elevator slips below the coupling. The PES is an integral component in the stabberless operation of casing equipment allowing remote operated equipment to be run without the aid of a stabber in the derrick.

 

The PES is an aid to the derrick mounted cameras in today’s automated rigs. Multiple PES configurations have been designed to adapt to numerous designs of casing elevators.
