The Elevator features a 250 Ton safe working load. (The elevator was tested in accordance with API 8C criteria.) When used on small rigs, the tool’s compact design proves very beneficial.
The quick and convenient removal and installation of the carriers, inserts and guides make the elevator more efficient when dressing the tools for various pipe sizes.
Equipped with Frank’s patented Spider/Elevator Interlock system that ensures that either the spider or the elevator is properly set on the pipe before the companion tool is allowed to open.
When using the Interlock system, the elevator will not allow the spider to raise its slips or damage itself if it would set its slips on the pipe collar.
The elevator’s slips are powered down eliminating premature opening of slips when lowering a string.
It has an optional tool mounted control valve allowing the stabber to control the elevator.
The tool features bail stabilizers which restrict the tool from rotating with respect to the bails and eliminate problems with the tool hanging up when being lowered onto the pipe.
The elevator is air operated.
